THE ARTIST

Jonathan Quintin/ Artist and Cosmologist

Jonathan Quintin was born and raised in provincial New Zealand. From an early age he was attracted to the teachings of ancient wisdom and the beauty and order of nature. He left home at an early age and worked at marine radio stations around New Zealand before venturing overseas at the age of 21.

That marked the beginning of his many years of extensive travels around the world - with a particular interest in ancient civilizations. His radio qualifications enabled him to find employment on ships and oil rigs in the North Sea and with the United Nations in the Middle East.

His fascination with Islamic mosaics ignited when he realized that, more than just exquisite designs... they were in fact mathematical formulae describing states of universal order. It was around that time he decided to dedicate his life to the study and artistic expression of sacred geometry and resigned from the United Nations in order to do so.

For the past 23 years he has pursued a course of comprehensive study and artistic expression of sacred geometry. The fundamental premise of his work is that at every level of existence - from the microcosm to the macrocosm - the same key patterns bring all things into manifestation.

His quest as an artist is to develop modalities that help attune human consciousness to the harmony of universal order, as well as providing tangible evidence that there is order to the Universe.

Jonathan presents his work internationally to a wide range of audiences.  He has the ability to reduce universal complexities into simple precepts of shape, pattern, colour and motion. In a very understandable way he demonstrates how geometry unites all forms of life… from plant, animal and human to the motions of the planets and stars. He shows the profound order and sublime beauty that can be found in the world of sacred geometry and how it can be used as a tool for higher consciousness and self-awareness.
